A set of six guide combs in the most popular lengths are included. Simply select the comb length for your pet's trim, snap the comb onto the mounting block, and begin by gently combing your pet. By working in the comfort of your own home you can break even large grooming jobs into short sessions, never working past your pets patience. Since only one hand is required to use ScaredyCut your free hand can handle your pet, brush their fur, and hold locks of fur to be cut. Working against the direction of hair growth, moving from the tail toward the head, slide the guide comb up against your pets skin and remove large locks of hair first by holding them out (never pulling) and making single cuts. The initial result will be an uneven, choppy surface. Once most of the hair has been removed this uneven surface can be evened out by making multiple rapid cuts as the guide comb is pulled through the hair.
